“Tibetan” 12 year old Pu Erh

The Bao Yan (Precious Flame) Pu-er is a Pu-er that is made by the Zhong factory especially for Tibetan Buddhist monks and is normally all purchased by monasteries. This is a green Pu-er and is 12 years old. Being that this tea is as old as it is, the color of the tea now resembles black tea. These discs are smaller than the usual size – they weigh 135grams each. A ‘tea boss’ in Kunming offered us 810RMB (US$120.00) each in June 2007.
